Venetian Heritage Meets Modern Design: Briccole Parquet in Valpolicella

Parquet "Briccole"

Thanks to the recovery of the wooden poles used in the Venice lagoon to delimit the navigable areas, Briccole parquet from Memory Collection was born.

This fascinating material finds a perfect place in a furnishing project for a villa in Valpolicella, where it blends with a modern and refined style. In this dream villa, the use of Briccole parquet enriches the rooms with furnishing elements with elegant and contemporary shapes. The natural beauty of wood warms the atmosphere, creating a welcoming environment that immediately makes you feel at home.

Thanks to the collaboration with the local retailer Zago Pavimenti of Verona, the Ideal Legno parquet was installed throughout the house, including the kitchen and bathrooms. The rooms are embellished and the rustic effect of the recycled wood creates a pleasant contrast with the minimalist furnishings. Tradition and modernity dialogue within the walls of this villa, finding their maximum expression.

It is an oak wood that spends about ten years immersed on the lagoon seabed where, tempered by salt and bad weather, it acquires its typical appearance, rich in shades, veins and holes dug by marine fauna which naturally affects these elements. The material undergoes a slow and scrupulous cleaning and drying process, is recovered and transformed into a designer parquet trying to preserve the uniqueness of each individual piece as much as possible. A unique wood, with a history and a soul.
